SMiniz Begins CBT With Match-3 Puzzles Before 2026 Launch

Kakao Games’ SMiniz Begins Closed Beta Testing With Match-3 Puzzles Ahead of Q1 2026 Global Launch

Kakao Games has officially launched the global closed beta test for SMiniz, a new casual match-3 puzzle game inspired by SM Entertainment’s well-known K-pop groups. The closed beta test is currently available on Android until December 12, giving players the first chance to experience the game before its planned global release in Q1 2026.

Originally known as SM GAME STATION, SMiniz is developed by METABORA with Kakao Games handling the global publishing. The game features adorable chibi-style characters called “Miniz,” all based on SM Entertainment’s biggest idols. Fans can expect to see cute versions of popular groups such as NCT, aespa, and RIIZE as they progress through the game.

Players solve match-3 puzzles while being accompanied by these charming Miniz idols. Even those who aren’t hardcore K-pop fans may find themselves drawn in—especially fans of aespa’s Karina and Winter, who appear in adorable chibi forms.

The closed beta test includes access to several features, such as a photocard collection filled with artist visuals, match-3 gameplay stages, and various character customization options. These early tests allow the developers to gather feedback and refine the game before launch.

SMiniz is currently conducting its Android closed beta test until December 12, with the full global launch scheduled for Q1 2026. Fans of K-pop and casual puzzle games should keep an eye out for more updates as the release date approaches.
