King Arthur: Legends Rise Shuts Down March 12, 2026

King Arthur: Legends Rise Is Shutting Down on March 12, 2026 After Just One Year of Service

Netmarble has officially announced that King Arthur: Legends Rise will be shutting down on March 12, 2026, marking the end of its service after just one year. The squad-based RPG, first revealed in March 2023, launched globally in November 2025—but despite its promising premise, the game will be sunset due to what the developers describe as “operational difficulties.”

The closure comes as a disappointment to many players, especially since the title had spent more time in beta testing than in its full launch period. King Arthur: Legends Rise offered an engaging narrative set in a magical reimagining of Britain, blending a war between ancient Gods and Humanity with a darker twist on the legend of Arthur. Players could build squads of iconic characters, battle powerful enemies, and explore a richly designed storyline.

Netmarble Confirms Shutdown After Internal Review

In an announcement posted on the official Netmarble forum, the team shared the difficult news, stating:

“After extensive internal consideration and discussion, we have arrived at the difficult decision that it is no longer feasible to provide continuous service.”

All in-app purchases have now been disabled, but players can continue downloading and playing the game on both Google Play and the App Store until March 12, 2026.

Additionally, the official community channels—including Discord and social media—are scheduled to close on June 13, 2026.

Refunds Will Be Announced Later

Netmarble has confirmed that refunds will be available, but players will need to wait for further announcements regarding the exact procedures. While this provides some relief, many fans have expressed disappointment that the game is ending so soon despite its clear potential.

One player commented, “It was actually a good game, but just ran poorly.”
Another remark captured the sentiment surrounding Netmarble’s track record: “Oh no, another Netmarble game. That’s a shame, and I am shocked.”

A Short-Lived RPG With Big Ambition

Although its story and squad-building mechanics were well-received, King Arthur: Legends Rise ultimately could not overcome its operational hurdles. With only a year of official service, its shutdown joins the growing list of mobile RPGs that struggled to sustain long-term support.

Players still have time to revisit the world of Arthur, assemble their favorite heroes, and enjoy the final months before the game’s servers power down for good.
