Talic is one of the most important enhancement systems in RF Online Next, letting you attach extra stats directly onto your weapon and armor pieces. If you're not using Talic yet, you're leaving free stats on the table. This guide covers everything: how Talic works, where to get it, how to attach it, and how to combine it for higher grades.
What is Talic?
Talic is a system that grants additional stat bonuses to your equipment. There are five grades — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary — and within each grade a Talic can be leveled from 1 to 3. Combining three Talics of the same color and level gives you a chance to raise the level, and reaching level 3 upgrades the grade to the next tier.
The 18 Types of Talic
There are six Talic colors, each tied to a specific equipment slot, and each color provides three different stat effects — giving a total of 18 unique Talics. Talic can only be attached to weapons and armor.
| Color | Effects | Equipment Slot |
|---|---|---|
| Red | ATK, Critical Hit Rate, Max ATK HR | Weapon |
| Purple | FP Regeneration, Fixed Skill Dmg, Max FP | Neck Guard |
| Green | DEF, Critical Resistance, Max ATK Resistance | Chest Guard |
| Blue | Fixed Skill Dmg Resistance, Max HP, HP Regeneration | Lower Guard |
| Yellow | Accuracy, Fixed Damage, Defense Pierce | Arm Guards |
| Orange | Evasion, Fixed Dmg Resistance, Weapon ATK Resistance | Leg Guards |
How to Obtain Talic
There are three main ways to farm Talic in RF Online Next:
Bio Suit Training Mode
Bio Suit Training Mode rewards Talic for each stage cleared, and the rewards get noticeably better the further you progress, so push as far as your build allows every day.
Mission Rewards
The weekly Missions tab regularly includes tasks for synthesizing Talic, which reward additional Talic on completion. Main quest chains can occasionally hand out Talic as well, so keep an eye on your quest log.
Limited-Time Events
Seasonal and limited-time events frequently let you exchange event currency or complete special missions for Talic. These events rotate, so check the in-game event tab often.
How to Attach Talic
Attaching Talic to your gear only takes a few steps:
- 1 Open the menu screen and select "Talic."
- 2 On the Talic attachment screen, choose the piece of equipment you want to enhance.
- 3 Pick a Talic color that matches the slot — available colors are limited by equipment type, and the number of Talic slots depends on the gear itself.
How to Combine Talic
Next to the attachment option you'll find "Combine Talic." Select it, then choose three Talics of the same color and the same level. A successful combine raises the level by one, and once a Talic reaches level 3, a further successful combine upgrades its grade to the next rarity.
- 1 Open the "Combine Talic" menu next to the attachment screen.
- 2 Select three Talics that share the same color and the same level.
- 3 Confirm the combine — success raises the level by 1, and a great success raises it by 2.
You can verify a Talic's current level by checking the number shown in the upper-left corner of its icon, alongside the "Lv. X" text label.
Success Rates and Credit Cost
The synthesis success rate is identical regardless of the Talic's current grade. A standard level-up success lands around 32%, while a great success (a 2-level jump) sits around 1%. You can check the exact rates anytime via "Talic Combination Probability Info" in the lower-left corner of the combine screen.
Since higher level and higher grade Talics always provide stronger stats, it's generally worth combining anything you're not actively using, unless you need to preserve a specific Talic for a build.
Recommended Talic by Stat
The best Talic setup depends heavily on your class, your equipped Bio Suit, and the skills you use most. As a general rule:
Beginner-Friendly Talic Picks
| Color | Recommended Stat |
|---|---|
| Red | ATK |
| Purple | Fixed Skill Damage |
| Green | DEF |
| Blue | Fixed Skill Dmg Resistance |
| Yellow | Accuracy |
| Orange | Evasion |
Conclusion
Talic is a low-effort, high-reward system — farm it daily from Bio Suit Training Mode and weekly missions, attach it based on your build's needs, and combine duplicates whenever you have spare Credit. Over time, stacking higher-level and higher-grade Talic across all six slots adds up to a meaningful stat boost for your character.
