Sanrio Games has announced that its new dance rhythm title, Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, will launch on both Android and iOS in 2027. As the first mobile game published directly under Sanrio's dedicated gaming label, the title is also gearing up for a closed beta test in Japan starting July 15, 2026.

Sanrio launched its gaming label, Sanrio Games, earlier this year, and Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! marks the label's debut mobile release. The game was formally unveiled during Sanrio Fest 2026, alongside the results of the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards.
The concept blends Sanrio's catalog of characters with a rhythm-game format, letting players dance along to tracks inspired by Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and other franchise favorites, while customizing outfits and decorating their own performance stages.
Two gameplay modes for different skill levels
Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! is built around two distinct gameplay modes:
- Performance mode — simplified controls designed so anyone can enjoy the game's dance sequences regardless of rhythm-game experience.
- Technical mode — a tougher challenge built around more demanding songs and inputs, aimed at players looking for a stiffer test of timing and accuracy.
Since the label is being developed in-house by Sanrio, the studio behind the characters themselves is shaping how the modes and content roll out ahead of the 2027 launch.

Sanrio Games is opening a closed beta test in Japan running from July 15 to July 21, 2026, with around 2,000 participant slots available. Applications are open now through July 7, 2026, and selected applicants will receive a confirmation email after recruitment closes.
