New to RF Online Next? This beginner's guide covers everything you need to know to build a strong foundation — from skipping the reroll trap to efficient farming strategies that will carry you through the early chapters.
RF Online Next Does Not Require Rerolling
Skip the Reroll — Start Playing Now
Rerolling is unnecessary in RF Online Next. Because you can combine Biosuits and Rovers of the same rarity to obtain a higher-rarity version, the best strategy is to jump in early and pull as many gacha as possible rather than wasting hours restarting accounts.
Strength Comes from Playtime, Not RNG
The more time you invest in leveling up and gathering materials, the more Credit and crafting resources you will accumulate. These resources directly fuel equipment and skill upgrades, making consistent playtime the true key to growing stronger.
Character Appearance Can Be Changed Later
You can revisit your character's look at appearance change merchants found in cities across the game. However, each change costs 800 diamonds. If you plan to play free-to-play, take time during initial character creation to design an avatar you are truly happy with.
How to Progress Efficiently in the Early Stages
Follow the Main Story Quest
Completing quests and leveling up progressively unlocks new content and enhancement options. Your next objective is always shown in the upper-right corner of the screen, so beginners can move through the story without confusion. Aim to clear up to around Chapter 4 by focusing on character development early.
Explore All Unlocked Content
As you unlock new game modes, make sure to engage with them. Even content tutorials reward you with useful items that accelerate your progress.
Stock Up on Recovery Items
Purchase healing items from the general goods shop to prevent getting defeated by enemies. Credit earned from combat can be used freely to buy potions up to your inventory limit. Unless you are deliberately farming low-level zones, expect to consume healing items consistently.
Use Buff Items Whenever Possible
Inexpensive buff items sold in the general store boost your stats for 30 minutes. This improves combat efficiency, letting you defeat more enemies and earn more Credit per session. Since using them costs very little, activate them as often as possible.
Choose Your Hunting Grounds Wisely
Some enemy types will attack you on sight, causing your HP to drop quickly when you are surrounded. Focus on areas with fewer aggressive monsters while progressing through quests. Understanding the quest target colour system will help:
- Yellow — Main quest target monsters
- Blue — Side-quest target monsters
- Purple — Faction quest target monsters
- Red — Aggressive monsters (usually not quest targets)
How to Strengthen Your Character in the Early Stages
Prioritize the Main Quest and Dungeons
The main quest provides the most efficient source of experience points. If you hit a wall, pivot to side quests, dungeons, or AFK farming. Dungeons have level requirements, so only the Biosuit Training Mode is available at the very start.
Aim for 100% Exploration Reports
Each region has Exploration Reports that reward you — including gacha tickets — based on your completion percentage. Track your progress through the Exploration Reports section in the main menu and chip away at it during downtime.
Complete Side Quests Alongside the Main Story
Side quests in each region typically target the same enemies as the main quest, so you can complete both simultaneously. Some side-quest rewards can be used as materials to unlock collectibles that permanently increase your stats. Check available side quests through the Quests menu.
Summon Biosuits and Rovers Daily
You can summon Biosuits and Rovers daily via Shop → Exchange Shop → Credit. Fuse duplicates of the same rarity to have a chance at obtaining higher-grade gear. Always equip the highest rarity available to you.
Purchase and Level Up Skills
Acquire new skills from the skill merchant or the marketplace to expand your combat options. Level up skills using Combat Skill Data items, which are type-specific to each skill category.
Join a Guild Early
Large-scale events like the Elysium Scramble and the Battlefield of Stell are guild-centric. Finding a beginner-friendly guild early lets you benefit from passive guild buffs while you grow.
Use AFK Farming When You Are Stuck
When quests are blocked and dungeons are exhausted, let your character farm idle. Zones where enemies can be defeated in roughly one hit are ideal — you'll earn Credit and experience without burning potions. Areas with tougher enemies will cost more resources and slow your net gains.
Challenge World Boss and Field Boss
Once your character is leveled up, head into early high-difficulty content: World Boss and Field Boss, accessible from the Dungeons menu. Despite the presence of top players, these bosses are relatively manageable for progressing players and reward experience points plus enhancement materials.
Additional Ways to Strengthen Your Character Early
Complete Daily and Weekly Missions
Daily and weekly missions unlock after clearing all of Chapter 3. Completing them consistently rewards weapons and crafting materials that are valuable for mid- and late-game growth. Make it a habit to knock out your dailies as soon as you log in each day.
Upgrade Higher-Rarity Equipment First
Equipment enhancement unlocks when your character reaches level 12. Always prioritize enhancing the highest-rarity gear you currently own for the best return on your enhancement materials.
Buy Enhancement Materials from the Exchange Shop
Upgrade Kits — the materials needed to enhance equipment — can be purchased through Shop → Exchange Shop → Credit. The shop stocks items purchasable with both diamonds and Credit. Credit items are subject to a daily purchase cap and offer excellent value, so always buy your daily allowance.
