PANDOLAND Shuts Down March 6, Ending Its Short Voyage

PANDOLAND, the casual maritime adventure RPG developed by GameFreak Inc. and published by WonderPlanet, is officially coming to an end. The developers have announced that the game will shut down on March 6, 2026, bringing its short-lived global journey to a close.

The announcement marks a sudden end for a title that only launched globally in April 2025, following its initial release in Japan on June 24, 2024. Despite its charming art style and lighthearted exploration theme, the game will soon terminate service less than two years after its debut.

PANDOLAND Shutdown Officially Confirmed

The PANDOLAND Team shared the End of Service (EOS) announcement via X (formerly Twitter), thanking players for their support. In their statement, the team said:

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude for all the support and feedback we have received over the years.”

However, the developers did not disclose the exact reason behind the shutdown, leaving fans to speculate about what led to the decision.

In-App Purchases Disabled, Thank You Campaign Planned

As part of the shutdown process, in-app purchases will be disabled starting January 5. Players can still download and play PANDOLAND until the official EOS date, allowing them to enjoy the remaining content.

To commemorate the game’s final months, the team has also announced a Thank You Campaign, designed to help players make the most of their remaining time in the game.

No Refunds or Offline Mode Planned

Unfortunately, there are no plans for refunds or an offline version of PANDOLAND after the shutdown. This has disappointed many fans, especially those who believed the game still had untapped potential.

Some players point to early warning signs, including a lengthy nine-month unannounced maintenance period following the Mega Man collaboration. Others in the community speculate that issues such as being “heavily grindy,” “pay-to-win,” and the controversial “scam wheel” system may have contributed to declining player interest.

A Promising Adventure That Ends Too Soon

PANDOLAND offered a casual marine adventure experience, letting players lead an explorer team across the seas in search of legendary treasures. After collaborations like Hatsune Miku, many fans expected more crossover content, making the sudden shutdown even more surprising.

As the final voyage approaches, players still have time to explore the world of PANDOLAND one last time before the servers go dark on March 6, 2026.
