StarToU Introduces New Idol Group, MacGuffin
To mark the rename, StarToU revealed MacGuffin, a self-producing hip-hop idol group made up of four members: Tay, Yoora, Lim, and Noki. A Closer Look at StarToU's Core Gameplay
At the center of StarToU is an entertainment community platform built around connecting with idols through immersive, memory-based experiences. Here's a breakdown of the main systems shown so far:
- Echo — a memory-based interactive medium powered by TOUCH technology, letting players revisit past memories and build new moments with their idols.
- Starlit Stage — rhythm-based performances where players can customize their lineup, outfits, and card sets before each show.
- Star Journey — an ongoing system for developing a deeper relationship with each idol over time.
- TOKI Interaction — another TOUCH-powered feature focused on day-to-day interaction with idol characters.
Together, these systems are designed to let players shape both how their idols look and perform, and how the bond between fan and idol develops over the course of the game.

Starlit Stage: Customizing Your Idol Performances
The Starlit Stage segment is where StarToU's rhythm and performance elements come together. Before each stage performance, players can adjust their idol lineup, swap outfits, and set up card combinations, giving room to experiment with different looks and strategies while performing.
Beyond the Stage: Star Journey and TOKI Interaction
StarToU's experience isn't limited to performances. Star Journey and TOKI Interaction extend the idol-management loop into everyday interactions, giving players more consistent ways to check in with characters and grow their relationships outside of scheduled shows. Combined with group management, storytelling, and the TOUCH-powered Echo memories, these systems are aimed at building a more personal, long-term idol journey.
CBT and Release Plans
Elementa has confirmed that StarToU's closed beta test is planned for select regions in the second half of 2026, following the earlier China Android closed beta recruitment held over the summer. A global test is planned for a later, unannounced date. No exact CBT start date or platform list has been shared yet, so players interested in trying StarToU early should keep an eye on the game's official channels for sign-up details.
