Vanya is a cheerful and energetic NPC in Heartopia who serves as the player’s primary Fishing mentor. Originating from a fishing village, she can usually be found at the Town River Pier during the daytime.
Acquisition
Vanya is unlocked shortly after the player arrives in town. To access the Fishing skill and begin interactions, players must approach her at the river pier during daytime hours and start a conversation.
Role: Fishing Mentor
Vanya guides players through the fundamentals of fishing from levels 1 to 5. Upon first meeting her, she provides the player with their first Fishing Rod.
The fishing tutorial includes:
- Equipping the Fishing Rod given by Vanya
- Approaching the water’s edge
- Casting the fishing line
- Reeling in the fish when prompted
Fish caught during her tutorial and later gameplay can be sold for 
20–100 coins, depending on quality.
