Goddess Order Shuts Down on January 31, 2026 Due to Bankruptcy

Goddess Order, the side-scrolling tag-team action RPG published by Kakao Games, is officially shutting down on January 31, 2026, just three months after its global launch. The sudden end follows the bankruptcy of its developer, PixelTribe, making continued operation impossible.

The announcement came as a surprise to many players, especially since the game had only recently returned from an indefinite maintenance period. However, behind-the-scenes financial and operational issues ultimately led to the decision to permanently end the service.

PixelTribe Bankruptcy Forces Shutdown

According to the official statement shared by the Goddess Order team, PixelTribe’s bankruptcy left no responsible staff available to maintain even basic operations. Despite attempts to keep the servers running, Kakao Games confirmed that providing stable service was no longer feasible under the circumstances.

This marks Kakao Games’ second major shutdown in 2025, following the sunsetting of Eversoul earlier this year.

Indefinite Maintenance Before the End

Goddess Order had previously entered indefinite maintenance just one month after its global launch, with PixelTribe citing financial and operational difficulties. When the game briefly returned online, many players assumed the situation had stabilized. Unfortunately, the recent announcement confirmed that the problems were far more severe than initially believed.

What Happens After January 31, 2026?

Once Goddess Order officially ends its service:

  • All servers will go offline permanently
  • All in-game data will be deleted
  • The game will no longer be playable
  • Goddess Order will be removed from app stores
  • Advertisements have already been disabled, meaning players can no longer earn rewards from ads

A Short-Lived but Memorable ARPG

Launched globally on September 24, 2025, following a soft launch in July, Goddess Order stood out thanks to its hand-crafted pixel art, fast-paced combat, and trio-based knight system. While its lifespan was brief, the game left a strong impression on fans of action RPGs.

A Growing List of 2025 Shutdowns

December alone has seen several unexpected shutdown announcements, including King Arthur: Legends Rise, Blade & Soul Heroes, Real Racing 3, and TEPPEN. With Goddess Order now added to the list, players can only hope there won’t be more similar announcements during the holiday season.
