The hobby is overseen by Naniwa, Heartopia’s resident entomologist. Players must obtain a Bug Net to begin capturing insects.

Getting Started
Locate Naniwa near forests or natural areas. Speaking with him unlocks Bug Catching and rewards your first Bug Net.
How to Catch Bugs
- Equip the Net from your inventory.
- Spot the Target using movement or sound cues.
- Approach Carefully:
- Walk for common insects
- Sneak for rare or skittish insects
- Swing when the insect is within range.
Missing a swing or rushing may cause insects to flee permanently.
