Leveling Up
Leveling up is the foundation of character growth in RF Online Next. Each new level improves many stats simultaneously, making your character substantially more powerful. The most efficient method is completing quests and running Zone Dungeon — especially the Android Junkyard, which yields exceptional experience points.
Equipment
Upgrading to more powerful equipment improves both your attack power and equipment durability. However, enhancing existing gear is generally better than constantly replacing it with slightly higher-level pieces.
Equipment Enhancement
Using enhancement items to increase equipment level provides a significant power boost even for the same piece of gear. Key thresholds to know:
- Enhancing to +5 or higher risks equipment destruction.
- For Rare class or higher equipment, reaching +6 unlocks a wider variety of enhanced stats — a significant advantage.
- Higher enhancement stages consume more CR and have higher failure rates; costs also vary by equipment grade.
High-Quality Upgrades & Great Success
When using high-quality upgrade materials, there is a chance of a Great Success — the item is enhanced by two stages instead of one. This means a +4 item can jump directly to +6 without any risk of destruction, safely bypassing the dangerous +5 threshold.
Using Artifacts for Enhancement
Artifacts can be purchased at the shop's exchange counter. The enhancement success rate is relatively low and equipment destruction is common, so expect to spend a notable amount of CR. If you have CR, diamonds, and mileage available, it is recommended to start with +5 enhancement.
Collection
Registering items from quest rewards and monster drops as collection grants stat increases. This is a passive but reliable source of character growth. Keep these points in mind:
- Once a collectible is registered, it cannot be retrieved — make sure you are not currently using that equipment before registering it.
- Items that are hard to obtain through normal play can be purchased directly from the market.
If you have a surplus of diamonds, you can purchase even inexpensive market items to fill out your collection quickly and steadily boost your stats.
Combat Module Lv. 50+
The Combat Module unlocks at level 50 and randomly enhances your skills. It comes in three grades, with Legendary being the highest. You can attempt to roll it repeatedly as long as you have the required materials and CR.
- Legendary parts grant additional effects based on how many you have collected.
- The probability of obtaining a specific effect varies not only by grade but also by the type of effect.
Core Link Lv. 55+
Core Link is a feature that uses Core Link Enhancement Kits to increase character stats. Enhancement kits can be acquired through various methods including defeating monsters, crafting with Arcane Nodes, and crafting with Blank Coins.
- The enhancement success rate decreases gradually.
- After 5 failed attempts, enhancement becomes impossible until you reset.
- Raising the enhancement limit is not efficient for training — only pursue it once you've exhausted other easier enhancements.
Memory Chip
Registering acquired memory chips provides small but consistent stat increases. The real payoff comes from collecting a complete set of defense chips, which tends to yield a significantly larger stat boost.
Exploration Reports
Exploration reports progress naturally as you complete main and side quests. Each area has a section for collectible items, so aim to fill out the exploration map as you go — it's an easy way to earn passive rewards alongside regular play.
Skills
Skill enhancement items increase a skill's damage multiplier and effect values. Key enhancement milestones that add bonus functions (add-ons) to your skills:
- +4 First add-on unlocked — provides an additional skill function.
- +8 Second add-on unlocked — significant skill boost.
- +12 Third add-on unlocked — maximum skill enhancement functions.
Skill enhancement materials are available in the marketplace at relatively affordable prices. Skills costing around 10 diamonds in the market are worth picking up. That said, acquiring new skills is generally lower priority — investing in equipment and other character elements often provides a larger combat power gain per resource spent.
Faction Contribution
Faction Contribution allows you to strengthen your character by spending Blank Coins, which are collected by completing daily missions and defeating enemies. This is a steady, reliable source of character development that rewards consistent daily play.
Baerer Credit Notes from Battlegrounds
In Battlegrounds, you can earn a substantial amount of Baerer Credit Notes each week. Because the weekly cap is significant, make collecting them a regular priority in your weekly routine.
Talic
Talic gear can be equipped to further enhance the stats of your existing equipment. Talic pieces are obtainable as rewards from various dungeons, making regular dungeon clears the primary way to collect them.
Bio Suit
Wearing a higher rarity Bio Suit directly increases your character stats. Higher rarity Bio Suits can be obtained as quest rewards or through the gacha system. Note that even within the same rarity grade, stats can differ depending on the specific type of Bio Suit acquired.
Rovers
Equipping a Rover boosts your stats and increases your EXP gain rate. Since Rovers provide different stat bonuses than the Bio Suit, they complement each other and together form an important part of your overall combat power progression.
Weapon Skin Lv. 70+
Weapon Skins change the visual appearance of your weapons while also granting equipped and possessed stat effects. Key points about Weapon Skins:
- Only weapons matching your own class can be equipped.
- Diamonds can be used to swap weapon appearances.
- Weapon skin appearances are obtained by defeating monsters at level 90 and above.
Rovers Workshop Lv. 60+
The Rovers Workshop lets you collect Rover parts and register them as collection entries for stat bonuses. The most efficient approach is to collect parts passively while participating in events and other content rather than crafting or buying them from merchants.
Tech Link Lv. 68+
Tech Link is content that lets you enhance your God Arc using MAU and Launcher Enhancement Nodes. It increases character stats directly and also through the collectible registration effect gained by leveling up your MAU and Launchers.
Other Enhancement Elements
Beyond the direct enhancement systems above, several additional elements contribute to character growth — mostly through passive possession bonuses or situational boosts.
Costumes
Acquiring a costume grants a stat boost as a possession effect. Owning multiple costumes stacks these bonuses simultaneously — you don't need to equip them to receive the benefit. Costumes can be purchased with diamonds or real money, or earned through limited-time events, starting at around 100 diamonds.
Titles
Titles are earned by completing achievements or clearing specific stages and grant stat bonuses when possessed or equipped. Harder-to-obtain titles generally provide the largest stat boosts, so pursuing challenging achievements is worthwhile in the long run.
Guild Research
After joining a guild, guild funds can be used to conduct research that provides small but incremental character stat improvements. Note that guild research is conducted by members with the appropriate authority — individual players cannot initiate it themselves.
MAU Launcher Enhancement
Upgrading your MAU Launcher strengthens your God Arc and increases character stats each time the God Arc's level rises. Reaching the level cap unlocks a new God Arc, and continuing to upgrade grants access to progressively higher rarity versions.
Enhancers — obtainable through achievements and similar rewards — permanently increase corresponding stats when consumed. Use them as soon as you acquire them rather than stockpiling.
Buff Items
Buff items available from general stores provide temporary stat increases with a time limit. Save them for specific high-value situations rather than using them casually:
- When challenging particularly tough enemies or bosses.
- During leveling sessions when you want to clear enemies as efficiently as possible.
